Condo for Rent in Singapore
Condominium rentals range from studios in the city fringe to family units in suburban projects with full facilities. Every SOLO rental listing shows the monthly rent, bedroom count, furnishing level, whether a carpark lot is included, how utilities are handled, and which facilities a tenant may use. There is no minimum tenancy set by the authorities for private property beyond three months, so terms are what the owner and tenant agree.

Renting a condo in Singapore
Private residential units may not be rented for less than three consecutive months under URA rules. In practice most condo tenancies run twelve or twenty-four months, and a two-year agreement usually carries a diplomatic clause allowing early termination after twelve months with two months of notice.
Read what the rent actually covers. Facility access, one carpark lot, and sometimes internet or aircon servicing may be bundled, while utilities and a monthly aircon maintenance contract are commonly the tenantβs responsibility. Each listing on SOLO states the arrangement rather than leaving it to the viewing.
Furnishing changes the price materially. Unfurnished, partially furnished, and fully furnished units in the same project can differ by several hundred dollars a month, and a fully furnished unit means an inventory list attached to the tenancy agreement.
Expect one month of rent as a security deposit for a one-year term and two months for a two-year term, plus the first month in advance and stamp duty on the lease. Minor repairs below an agreed amount are usually the tenantβs cost, with the owner covering anything above it.

Common questions
What is the minimum rental period for a condo?
Three consecutive months. URA prohibits shorter stays in private residential property, so short-term and holiday lets are not permitted.
Can foreigners rent a condo in Singapore?
Yes. There is no quota or approval requirement for renting private property. You will normally be asked for a valid pass and proof of income when the tenancy is prepared.
What is a diplomatic clause?
A clause in a two-year tenancy that lets the tenant terminate early, usually after twelve months and with two months of written notice, when the tenant is required to leave Singapore. It is negotiated, not automatic.
Is a carpark lot included in the rent?
It depends on the unit and the project. Each SOLO condo rental listing states whether a lot is included, available at extra cost, or not provided.
